Recently one of my friends referred me Dropbox which is really a nice software to store files atleast upto 2GB for free. Well whats so great about it? we can use gmail or google documents or yousendit, isn't it?
Yes you can use google documents or gmail to save files but there is still a limit for file size and moreover its not very organized whereas yousendit can take upto 100MB at a time but they will refresh every week so its not a permanent storage.
Overall Dropbox is good software easy to install and use. Initially everyone gets 2GB free memory and everytime you refer some one both you and your friend can earn 250 MB extra space upto a maximum of extra 3GB with referals but still a total of 5GB is still fine besides you have user friendly features where you can share your files, photos or videos with your friends and can access them from any computer where the software is installed if not from its website litterally on any hardware or OS.
The upload and download speeds are not bad at all, so all of us now are exchanging movies and some softwares by sharing with each other.
